Spring is here! And even in Sweden we go to the beach =)

Wow, what a weekend! Although today was unfortunately a lazy, rainy sunday, yesterday had a lot to offer. Not only was it the finals of the Eurovision competition in Malmö, which probably many of you watched, but also student life had some fun things to offer!

Luckily, yesterday was super sunny and warm – hopefully a preview of what the summer will be like this year (and hopefully I did not jinx it now). So many people went out, enjoyed the weather, and yes, probably got their first sunburn this year =) There was a football tournament held by the local football team and Stampus, Windfest – a surfing competition and beach party in Lomma (close to Lund), and then public viewing in Malmö to watch the Eurovision.

Plus, I have been to Lund during the day, at the student residence ”Parentesen”. For the last few weeks, the students there have teamed up with the others from their corridors to find out which corridor will be the ”brännboll” champion this year. Brännboll is a Swedish sport, similar to baseball, and a lot of fun to play! Yesterday were the final games and my friend’s team actually won which was a lot of fun! However, afterwards starts the actual madness, when all corridors start throwing out paper, garbage and other things from the balcony, which the losing team had to clean up. If you are in Lund (or closeby) next year, this is definitely something to have a look at! Here is a video from this year’s competition: click me 🙂

Although it’s sad that it’s rainy again, after just one day of summer feeling, this is much better to keep up motivation for studying 😉
