So went summer and now it´s time to orientate into new academic year here in Helsingborg. If you ask anyone from Nordics how their summer was, the standard answer is ”Short”. The thing is, summer in Nordic is kind of bitter sweet; So beautiful and kind of quick! For me the summer was also educating thanks to my gorgeous workplace Hotel Kämp. There, among other memorable moments, i gained some precious experience about what it is like to take the responsibility of hotel operations in my role as a Manager on Duty.
One neat thing that happened to me during last summer was a trip to Dublin. I was there for Google BOLD Immersion, where around 40 university students across EMEA gathered to workshop and learn what kind of company Google actually is. I´m still amazed that i made it to BOLD and got to spend three incredible days among crazy-cool people! I guess it is one of those marvelous things that can happen to a student of Lund University!
Anyway, that´s about the summer, now it´s time to tackle the second and the last year of my Service Management programme. Bring it on! Since me and my class mates were offered a helping hand last year right in the beginning of our studies, it is time to pass the good stuff on. Therefore, me and four other 2nd year students are starting up our first SI-session this week. Our mission is to share our experiences and best tips in order to help new international crowd of Service Management students to get the best out of their first courses. We are excited!
